Bring your dad for a fun day of exploring the park. Discover things about yourself and each other while you learn about this amazing place. Challenge yourself, relax, explore, create.

Mom and Me:
It’s me and mom out asking questions. Why is the water green? How do the tides work? Who lives in that tree? Why? All this and more on a day of discovery with moms and their kids. The park is full of surprises and your careful educators will lead you on a guided discovery.

Grandpa/Grandma & Me:
Ever been asked: What’s that? Been stumped? Well no longer! Come join our team of trained naturalist guides as they explore the Park with you. Discover both natural and cultural history that abounds at Deception Pass. A time of bonding and discovery.

Secrets of the Park:
Spend a day with our Guides and discover some secrets of the Park. Special places of solitude and beauty. Out of the way nooks and crannies. Explore the habitat of our diverse animal residents. Immerse yourself in Discovery. For adults and families.

Island Explorer:
Ever wondered what an Island is really like? Well come with us and see! Come investigate the many habitat areas and intriguing wildlife and flowers that teem in our local Islands. Imagine living here on your own. Explore an Island with us for a day. Experience the island treasures! For Adults and families.

Forest Treasures:
Deception Pass State Park and Whidbey Island have one of the largest areas of un-cut forest in the region. Explore these stately sentinels and the diverse plant and animal communities they support and protect. Our focus will be on the important roles these special places have in our lives and society. We’ll discover plants you can eat, see animals in their homes, and enjoy the beauty and intrigue of the forest. An Adventure worth taking! For Adults and families.
