We offer a variety of single day and week long day camp options throughout the year for Kids! An excellent way to enrich their sense of the natural world and learn vital skills to living in and stewarding this earth that we call home.  Browse our offerings often as they periodically change and are updated with new programs. We hope to see you soon!

    

   


Wilderness Survival for Kids
Equip yourself for the unexpected!  Learn how to build a shelter, find and purify water, make rope, find food and more! You will never be afraid of getting lost in the woods and not knowing what to do.  Learn direction finding with map and compass, the sun or moon, and maybe even GPS.  This outdoor skills class is a must for all kids. You will come away equipped knowing how to handle yourself if you are lost or stranded or just doing some extended exploring.  Class to be held at Deception Pass. Details sent upon registration. (Ages 8 - 12 basic.) (Teens - Advanced Skills)

Marine Explorer Camp -
For the budding marine biologist!   Discover the amazing underwater world with a real marine biologist.  Meet scientific divers and learn what they do.  Find out what makes seaweed slimey, how barnacles and seastars eat, what seabrids do when they dive underwater, what seals and whales eat.  Dissect a squid or fish, explore tide pools, test the waters of the Puget Sound and more!  Class will be held at Deception Pass.  Details sent upon registration.  Ages 8 - 12

Forest Friends
A fun filled week exploring the Old Growth forests of Deception Pass. Explore the plants and animals that depend on this special place. Slimy Slugs, Hammering Woodpeckers, millipeds, and skunk cabbage. Find a nesting bird or busy squirrel. Each day will be a new discovery. Ages 8-13.

Beach Combers Paradise
Miles of beach stretch along the shores of Deception Pass State Park. Discover places you’ve never been! Explore the edge of the ocean and forest. Each day brings its own surprises as we investigate the places the Native American’s called home. Find shore bound treasures brought in from the sea. Learn about the life that inhabits this special place.
Ages 8-13.

Aqua - Marine
Orca whale breaching Freshwater and Saltwater. Two environmental extremes. Both found at Deception Pass State Park. Explore with us the life that abounds within and at the edges of them both. Explore Cranberry and Pass lake, discover swampy mysteries, and fun at the oceans edge. You’ll be surprised what’s here! Come and see!

Deception Pass Day Camp

Eco - Camp
This week takes campers throughout the park on a journey of Discovery! Each day will be spent exploring a new habitat found in the park. There are at least 6 different unique habitat areas. We focus on the weird and wacky in the natural world and have a blast as we go. An experience of a lifetime!
